Christophe Bariou in first public appearance with GF Nadine Lustre: ‘We complement each other’

Filipino-French entrepreneur Christophe Bariou has nothing but good words to say about his girlfriend Nadine Lustre when he was asked about seeing her immersed in her life as a celebrity on the sidelines of the Vogue Philippines anniversary gala.
Marking their first public appearance as a couple, Bariou said seeing a glimpse of Lustre turning into a “very professional and beautiful person” in her work is an “impressive feat,” as seen on ABS-CBN News’ YouTube channel on Wednesday, Aug. 30.
“I’m getting used to [her life as a celebrity]. But she turned into this very professional and beautiful person. It’s really impressive to see it for the first time… I’m proud of what she’s done and what she’s doing. I’m trying to help her the best I can. For me, she’s still like a normal person,” he said.
When asked about their relationship, Bariou said he and Lustre “both complement and enhance each other,” as he noted that being a good influence to one another is what he values the most.
“We both complement each other and enhance each other and that’s what’s really cool. I think that’s the thing I value the most in our relationship. I think we’re way better [people] when we’re together,” he said.
For her part, the “Deleter” star said her partner is a “good influence” on each other and vice versa. “We help each other out. We’re both good influences on each other,” she said.
The interview marks the first time Lustre appeared in public with Bariou, who’s known for keeping a low profile. Prior to this, he would just usually appear on the actress-singer’s social media platforms during their trips as a couple.
The businessman, who owns a resort in Siargao, previously shared on Instagram that “he’s more in love” with the actress after two years together.
The couple’s relationship was first made public in January 2022, where Lustre shared a glimpse of their New Year’s celebration together. EDV
