Fans were left stunned by the intense kissing scene of Julia Montes and Alden Richards in the still unreleased trailer of their upcoming film “Five Break-ups and a Romance.”

The jaw-dropping peek at their first ever pairing was served by “That Thing Called Tadhana” director Antoinette Jadaone on TikTok.

The 16-second TikTok clip showed a portion of the movie’s trailer, which Jadaone received from the film’s director, Irene Villamor. Jadaone, who clarified that she was given the go signal to post the video, said that she “just had to share” that part of the trailer.

Before the clip cut to the passionate encounter between the pair, who will portray the roles of Justine (Montes) and Lance (Richards), the viewers got to hear an apparent exchange between their characters.

“Hindi ko talaga gets eh. Ano ba’ng balak mo? Bakit mo ginagawa ‘to (I don’t really get it. What’s your plan? Why are you doing this)?” expressed Justine, which was followed by another question from Lance. “Wala ka talagang naramdaman (You really didn’t feel anything)?”

The unofficial teaser drew various reactions from netizens, with several users seconding Jadaone’s “[G]ulat me (I was surprised)!” reaction.

There were also playful responses  — aside from those that brought up Coco Martin’s name — such as the comment from one user who seemingly asked about the kissing scene. “Naka-ilang take ‘to, direk (How many takes for that scene, direk)? Hahahaha!!! [emojis], to which Jadaone played along and replied, “Will ask Ayrin (Villamor) haha.”

In a media conference last April, Villamor, who’s also the film’s writer, shared that the feature leans toward a “dissection” of a relationship, adding how relationships do not only involve the couple.

From Villamor’s recent Instagram post, wherein the “Camp Sawi” director looked back on their film’s journey, veteran actors Soliman Cruz and Lotlot de Leon are also set to appear in the movie.

As of this writing, an official release date has yet to be announced. However, Jadaone, in the comments section of her TikTok post, said that the film will come out in October. EDV
