Shaila Rebortera declares amid Rob Gomez’s apology: ‘Like the sun, I’ll always rise again’

Shaila Rebortera received support from fans as she dropped a cryptic quote about “rising again,” days after her former partner Rob Gomez made a public apology to her.
“Like the sun, I’ll always rise again,” the beauty queen said on her Instagram page on Tuesday, Aug. 29, showing herself at what appears to be a beach in San Vicente, Palawan.

Aside from compliments, Rebortera was greeted with words of encouragement by fans and fellow beauty queens via the comments section.

In a separate Instagram post, Rebortera also vowed to Amelia, her daughter with Gomez, “I choose you. And I’ll choose you over and over and over. Without pause, without a doubt, in a heartbeat. I’ll keep choosing you.”

Rebortera, crowned Miss Multinational Philippines 2021 and Miss Millennial Philippines 2018, introduced Amelia to the public earlier this month and disclosed that she was told to “wait for the perfect time” to do so. Rebortera was then speculated to have suffered from domestic abuse after the beauty queen shared photos on social media exposing bruises on her arms.
Rebortera further revealed that Gomez’s mother tried to silence her and asked her to apologize for claims that she suffered from “physical, verbal and emotional abuse” from the actor’s hands.
After a few weeks, Gomez expressed his longing for Rebortera and their child in a public apology shown on his Instagram, saying that the beauty queen is not “an option for [him] to lose.”
Rebortera has yet to publicly speak about Gomez’s apology as of this writing. /ra
