Vice Ganda ‘just waiting’ for invitation to appear on ‘Bubble Gang’

Vice Ganda said that he’s just waiting for an invitation to make a guest appearance on “Bubble Gang,” which came months after veteran comedian Michael V. admitted that he’s hoping that the former would appear on the long-running comedy show.
“Dream ko kasing mag-‘Bubble Gang’ (It’s my dream to appear on Bubble Gang),” Vice said during an interview, which was uploaded on GMA Integrated News’ YouTube channel last Thursday, Aug. 24.
“Nag-aantay lang din naman ako ng imbitasyon, at saka kung anong gagawin (I’m just waiting for an invitation and possible opportunities that I can do),” the “Praybeyt Benjamin star added.
This was not the first time Vice Ganda expressed interest in joining the comedy show. In February 2022, he admitted during an “It’s Showtime” segment that he once dreamed of appearing on “Bubble Gang,” but noted that it never happened due to the latter show’s “high standards.”
During a press conference for the Kapuso show’s relaunch last June 9, Michael V., who’s also the show’s former creative director, said portraying the sarcastic Mr. Assimo is what comes to mind when it comes to doing a sketch with the Unkabogable Star.
Mr. Assimo is a character known for his sarcastic responses to people who would state the obvious.
“Sana mabigyan ng (Hopefully, we’ll be given the) chance [to have Vice Ganda on the show],” he said. “In a heartbeat, gagawin ko kung walang… magiging aberya (I’ll do it if there would be no problem).”
The “Pepito Manaloto” star pondered about a possible collaboration with Vice Ganda on Twitter earlier this month, while sharing behind the scenes photos of his guesting on the Kapamilya noontime show.
“Recently, tuwing nagko-cross ang paths namin ni Vice Ganda, isa lang ang laging pumapasok sa isip ko… ‘possibilities.’ In a time na parang ‘puwede na,’ ano sa tingin n’yo ang posibleng mangyari,” he wrote.
