During his “It’s Showtime” guesting, Kapuso star Miguel Tanfelix shared that he’s looking forward to a dance number with Vhong Navarro.
Before the 24-year-old actor told Navarro about his hope for a dance collaboration with him, he took the dance floor with the noontime show’s girl group Baby Dolls, and danced to K-pop boy group Enhypen’s “Bite Me.”
Similar to the experience of previous guests from the Kapuso network, the former child star got the chance to sing along to “It’s Showtime’s” theme song, before he addressed the studio audience with the show’s signature greeting “What’s up, madlang people!”
Asked about his reaction to getting an invite to guest on the Kapamilya variety program, Tanfelix underscored the idea of unity between the two networks.
“Natuwa ako, kuya Vhong. Kasi para sa ‘kin, ‘pag nagkakaisa ‘yung mga tao, masaya ako do’n. So, very excited ako magperform dito (I was happy, kuya Vhong. Because for me, I am happy when people are united. So, I was very excited to perform here),” shared the “StarStruck Kids” alum, who would afterward inform Navarro of his interest to perform with him.
“Actually, nilu-look forward ko na maka-dance prod ka, kuya Vhong (Actually, I look forward to doing a dance prod with you, kuya Vhong),” said Tanfelix, to which Navarro replied positively, and even shared that he told the show’s staff that the GMA artist is good on the dance floor.
The pair would figure in a very short impromptu dance collab after Kim Chiu initiated the call for a “sample” performance.
Before Tanfelix joined the mainstays for the noontime show’s “Rampanalo” segment, he would also be requested to do the “Mini Miss U” dance challenge.
Meanwhile, during an interview on the show’s online counterpart, “Showtime Online U,” Tanfelix further talked about his admiration of Navarro’s skills on the dance floor, and shared that one would feel challenged when performing with the Streetboys member.
In terms of his acting career, the “What We Could Be” actor hopes to have a reunion project with his “Mulawin” co-star Angel Locsin. The Kapuso fantasy drama, in which he played the role of Pagaspas, was his very first series on GMA. He also shared that he wishes to work with “Honor Thy Father” actor John Lloyd Cruz.
Tanfelix currently stars as Steve Armstrong in the Mark Reyes-helmed science-fantasy series “Voltes V: Legacy,” which recently concluded its filming. EDV
