Roderick Paulate films ‘In His Mother’s Eyes’ months after graft conviction
Former Quezon City councilor Roderick Paulate appeared to be restarting his career in showbiz after he was seen shooting for the upcoming film “In His Mother’s Eyes,” months after he was found guilty by the Sandiganbayan of graft and falsification of documents for hiring “ghost” employees.
In an Instagram post by B617 Artists Management last Aug. 8, Paulate is seen donning a mint green shirt while holding the movie’s clapboard.
“Let the good times roll!” the caption read.

Paulate was also spotted engaging in what appears to be an emotional scene of the film, as seen in a separate post.
“@roderickpaulate Day 2 [emojis] #IHMEShootDay2 #RoderickPaulate #B617Management #B617,” the caption read.

Details about Paulate and Soriano’s roles in the film, as well as other cast members and the premiere date, are yet to be revealed, as of this writing.
In December 2022, the Sandiganbayan convicted the ex-politician and his former liaison officer Vicente Esquilon Bajamunde for graft and nine counts of falsification of public documents in connection with maintaining “ghost” employees while the former served as a councilor in 2010.
They were sentenced to six to eight years of imprisonment and perpetual disqualification. EDV
