Days after Gladys Guevarra surprised everyone with a photo of herself in a wedding dress, the singer-comedian shared a clip from her special day.
The former “Eat Bulaga” mainstay uploaded a short clip from their wedding on her Facebook page, three days after revealing that she has tied the knot with a certain “AD.” The clip showed the groom lifting Guevarra’s veil before the couple shared a long hug and kisses.
“Once upon a time… There lived a lonely princess. Then she met her Knight in shining armor [who] God blessed her to be with. And they lived happily ever after [heart emoji],” she captioned her post.
In her post on Aug.9, which showed the bride aboard a car, Guevarra expressed her gratitude to the Lord for the courage to withstand what seemed to her were “endless battles.”
“Maraming salamat sa Panginoon, Diyos Ama na s’yang nagbiyaya sa akin ng lahat ng lakas ng loob na magpatuloy sa buhay sa kabila ng pakiramdam kong endless battles. May katapusan pala lahat ng pain at heartaches,” she said, and added how the Lord blessed her with her now husband, who loves her wholeheartedly.
(Thank you very much to the Lord, God the Father, who blessed me with the courage to continue on with life despite what I felt were endless battles. There is really an end to all the pain and heartaches.)
“Pinabangon ako muli ni Lord at binigyan ng isang katulad ni AD, minahal ako at minamahal [nang] buong-buo at wala ng kahit anong question (The Lord got me back on my feet and gave me someone like AD, who loved and loves me completely and without question),” shared Guevarra, who would confirm her marriage by going live on her Facebook page the following day.
During the live stream — at the time, she had yet to completely reveal her partner’s face to the public — Guevarra stressed that her latest life update is not for any content or collaboration.
The performer-comedienne was earlier embroiled in a row involving content creator Joel Mondina — more popularly known as Pambansang Kolokoy — following their collaboration.
“Walang face reveal na magaganap, because, first of all, hindi naman po ito collab. Ito po ay tungkol sa buhay ko at sa pribadong buhay naming mag-asawa (No face reveal will take place, because, first of all, this is not a collab. This is a matter that concerns my life and our private life as a married couple),” said the newlywed, who shared that she’s already been married for the past “couple of days.”
“So, kaya rin ako naglive [ay] para iconfirm sa inyo na ngayon… in the last couple of days, ako po ay officially Gladys Guevarra-Dawa. Ako po ay asawa na po ni AD (So, I also went live to confirm to everyone that now… in the last couple of days, I’ve been officially Gladys Guevarra-Dawa. I am now AD’s wife),” she further said.
Guevarra, who is now based in the United States, revealed in 2021 that she married her non-showbiz boyfriend Mike Navarrete. Not much was heard from him since then. EDV
