Sharon Cuneta recently reunited with her “Kung Ako na Lang Sana” co-star Aga Muhlach during the actor’s 54th birthday celebration.
The Megastar — on Saturday, Aug. 12 — uploaded snaps with the birthday boy on Instagram, including a photo in which Muhlach gives the actress-TV host a back hug.
In her post’s caption, Cuneta told the award-winning actor, “Happy Birthday, dearest Teng! Love u always![heart emoji] @agamuhlach317.” In their 2003 big-screen collaboration, Cuneta and Muhlach played the roles of best friends Emmy and Vince (or Enteng), respectively.
In an Instagram post in 2021, Cuneta described Muhlach as “always one of my best friends and one of my favorite leading men for 18 years now.” After almost 20 years following the release of “Kung Ako na Lang Sana,” fans still remember the characters’ more popular lines, and are hoping for a comeback feature for the veteran actors.
Meanwhile, some netizens can’t help but point out how the co-stars’ sweet moment was witnessed by the actor’s son — 21-year-old Andres — who, based on the photo, seemed to have just returned to the dining area.
Former actress- TV host Charlene Gonzalez, Muhlach’s wife of 22 years, also posted photos from the birthday dinner, which was also attended by Willie Revillame, Rowell Santiago, and real-life couple Gerald Anderson and Julia Barretto. Barretto and Muhlach are set to appear in the Denise O’Hara-helmed “Forgetting Canseco.”
In her birthday greeting for her “forever date,” Gonzalez shared snaps from the couple’s dinner date — “right beside the sea” — in Bodrum, Turkey. “[H]appy birthday my love.. here’s to many more years of adventures, love and happiness [heart emoji],” she wrote in her Instagram post’s caption.
The “Seven Sundays” actor seems to be enjoying his 50s, as he declared in a birthday post, “Amen! 50s is LIFE!!! The best!! Thank you, Lord! Love you all! [emojis]”
Cuneta is also set to star in an upcoming Nuel Naval feature, which marks her first film collaboration with Kapuso actor Alden Richards. “A Mother and Son’s Story, which is an official entry to the 49th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), will also feature Miles Ocampo, Tonton Gutierrez, and Jackie Lou Blanco.
