Former couple Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion confirmed that they will have a reunion as they are set to hold “Dear Heart, The Concert” on Oct. 27.
Cuneta and Concepcion, dubbed as “ShaGab,” released a poster for the concert through their respective Instagram pages on Wednesday, Aug. 9. The material shows the veteran actors sitting near each other with the concert title bannered on the upper part of the poster.
The concert will be held at SM Mall of Asia Arena, and tickets will be available starting Aug. 15.
Fellow celebrities Judy Ann Santos, Christine Bersola, Sherilyn Tan and film director Mae Cruz-Alviar were among those who looked forward to ShaGab’s reunion.
Cuneta and Concepcion first teased their upcoming reunion last July 29 with a clip showing silhouettes of a man and a woman beside each other while an instrumental of Cuneta’s “Dear Heart” plays in the background.
The actors’ love team began after they starred in the 1981 film “Dear Heart.” Three years after the movie was released, Cuneta and Concepcion got married, then welcomed their daughter KC a year later.
The pair’s romance did not last as they separated in 1987. Their marriage was annulled in 1994. Both screen veterans are now married to their respective partners—Cuneta to former senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan, and Concepcion to Genevieve Gonzales. /ra
