Jung Hae-in sent his well-wishes to his “Snowdrop” co-star Jisoo of Blackpink and South Korean actor Ahn Bo-hyun, whose dating status was earlier revealed to the public.
During a media conference for his Korean drama series “D.P. 2.” on Thursday, Aug. 3, Jung spoke about this and clarified that he did not know about the pair’s relationship prior to their announcement.
This was in response to fans who speculated that it was Jung Hae-in who introduced the pair to each other, since he is acquainted with both Jisoo and Ahn.
“I hope the two of them will continue their healthy and beautiful relationship,” Jung said as translated by Korean media outlet Soompi.
“I didn’t know they were dating,” he noted, adding that he also knew of the pair’s dating status only through the news.
Jung also said that although he’s also a celebrity, he was “not very interested in dating news of celebrities and such.”
Reports of Jisoo and Ahn’s relationship started when Korean media outlet Dispatch shared photos of them meeting up at the singer-actress’ home. The pair’s talent agencies later confirmed that the actors were “getting to know each other with positive feelings.”
Jisoo is one of the members of the quartet group Blackpink. Aside from her lead role in “Snowdrop” in 2021, she also made a cameo appearance in Korean TV series “The Producers” (2015).
Ahn, meanwhile, is best known for his role in the K-dramas “See You in My 19th Life,” “2022 Military Prosecutor Doberman,” “Yumi’s Cells” and “Descendants of the Sun,” among others. /ra
