Showbiz couple Abby Viduya and Jomari Yllana are set to tie the knot in civil rites in Las Vegas, with only a few members of their family in attendance.

Viduya, who is previously known as sexy actress Priscilla Almeda, made the announcement during a a mediacon event, saying that they wanted to do a wedding just like the surprise midnight ceremony of Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez last July 17.

“Yes, November na siya. Ang civil wedding namin will be in… we’re going to Vegas. We’re gonna pull a JLo-Ben Affleck kind of thing,” Viduya said in the interview. “We’re very happy that finally we’re taking this step.”

She declined to give the actual date of their wedding.

When asked why they wanted to have a civil wedding first, the former actress said, “Kasi gusto naming kami lang dalawa at first kasi, ‘di ba?” (It’s because we want it to be just the two of us at first, right?)

“A few of our family members will be joining us there like my daughter. May eldest daughter will be joining us in Vegas and some of his relatives,” she added.

The church wedding, the actress revealed, will happen either end of 2024 or early 2025.

“We’re getting married in Naga where his parents got married, at the Penafrancia Church,” she said

Needless to say, Viduya is “excited” about the forthcoming wedding. However, she said that between them, it is Yllana who seemed more eager to see to the wedding, and take care of the preparations.

“Actually, you know what, it’s him. It’s Jom who’s taking care of all the wedding plans,” she said.

Their love story began when they were still in their teens and were still active in their respective careers. As they were still young then, their relationship ended in a breakup. They, however, reconnected in 2019, and they never looked back as they embarked in a blended partnership.

Yllana then formally proposed marriage to Viduya, then last February, he chose to honor her through a “pamamanhikan,” a Filipino tradition wherein the family of the groom pay its respects to his soon-to-be bride and her family by visiting her home, bearing food and gifts to be shared by both families that would soon be bound by marriage.
