Actress Heaven Peralejo recently got back from her first solo trip to Bali, Indonesia, and came home with three new tattoos, and the life lessons these represent.

For the past few days, the “Pinoy Big Brother” alum via Instagram has been sharing snaps and videos from her first solo travel experience in Bali.

In one of her posts, Peralejo expressed that she’s living her “best life as a first-time solo traveler,” with a video of herself paragliding in a scenic location that featured a beach and low mountain slopes.

The vacation had greatly impacted her “journey of self-discovery” that the “The Rain in España” star decided to literally and figuratively mark the takeaways from her trip, by getting tattoos that symbolize those life lessons.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, July 30, Peralejo shared snaps of her new tattoos, and explained the meaning and lessons behind each.

“3 Tattoos, 3 Meanings Found, Surrender, and Forward,” the actress introduced her three new tattoos.

“With my first solo trip to Bali, I discovered a newfound sense of independence and self-assurance. The word ‘found’ serves as a constant reminder of this whole experience,” explained Peralejo about the first word inked on her hand.

She further said how traveling solo in an unfamiliar space made her appreciate the opportunity to trace her own path. “In a country unknown to me, I learned to embrace my own company and appreciate the freedom of exploring on my own,” the actress said.

The second tattoo  — which showed the word “surrender,” on what appeared to be inked on her upper arm — symbolizes her decision to break away from the idea of perfection and the need for such.

“Second, Bali taught me the power to ‘surrender.’ Letting go of my need for perfection and careful planning, I allowed myself to immerse in the beauty of spontaneity. Each day, I learned to trust the magic of what lies ahead of me,” explained Peralejo.

Meanwhile, the third tattoo deviated from the first two’s design, and displays an arrow successfully penetrating a sort of target. The art located on her arm, she explained, reflects a couple of important decisions — from refraining to be a victim of one’s own past, to finding the strength to forgive.

“Lastly, the word ‘forward’ symbolizes my commitment to never dwell on the past. It embodies forgiveness and self-love, urging me to appreciate every moment and keep moving forward,” shared the 23-year-old, who added that the tattoo also is the one that captures the idea of constantly “exploring” the world.

“It serves as a reminder to cherish life’s experiences and keep exploring the wonders and beauty of the world we live in,” she said.

The business management graduate capped off her post by reiterating what her tattoos remind her of — “the importance of finding oneself, surrendering to life’s flow, and to always move forward with love and forgiveness.”

Aside from the upcoming Jason Paul Laxamana feature, “The Ship Show,” where she’ll star opposite Marco Gallo, Peralejo is also set to appear in the Kapamilya series “Linlang.” Among the series’ cast members are Kim Chiu, Paulo Avelino, JM de Guzman, and Maricel Soriano, among others.

Along with other Viva artists, Peralejo and Gallo will also be featured in “For the Love,” a new Kapatid drama anthology to be hosted by Pops Fernandez. EDV
