Yeng Constantino drops ‘Reimagined’ EP after acquiring music catalogue

Singer Yeng Constantino has just released an extended play (EP) of her previous hits that she herself rearranged.

On Instagram, Constantino gave her followers a ringside view of the songs she rearranged in her EP, among which are such hits as “Salamat” and “Lapit,” singles that she said were “fan favorites” that she enjoyed singing live.

“Makalipas ang ilang taon, nasa pangangalaga ko na ang aking music catalogue. At dahil dyan binigyan ko ng bagong bihis ang ilan sa mga kantang minahal nyo galing sakin. Ito ang REIMAGINED. Unang limang kanta sa marami pang susunod. Palagi akong magpapasalamat sa lahat ng suportang binigay at binibigay nyo sakin. Alay ko lahat ng ito sainyo Yengsters!” she said in one of her posts.

(After several years, my music catalogue is now under my care. And because of that, I have given some of your beloved songs from me a new look. This is the REIMAGINED. The first five songs of many more to come. I will always be grateful for all the support you have given and continue to give me. I dedicate all of this to you, Yengsters!)

Aside from “Salamat” and “Lapit,” part of the track are “Ako Muna,” “Kasalanan Ko Ba,” and “Pag Ayaw Mo Na.”

While the latter did not become a single, the hitmaker admitted that “Pag Ayaw Mo Na” is one of her favorite songs among her compositions.

Meanwhile, “Kasalanan Ko Ba” is a song that she wrote for fellow OPM singer Jaya, who is now based in the United States.

She said that the entire process of before the release of her EP has been “so much fun,” from scouring her music catalogue to recording.

“Mula sa paghalughog ng music catalogue ko, pag-areglo, pagrecord, pag isip ng album cover at ngayon paghatid nito sainyo. Balewala ang eyebags at pagod! Samahan nyo ko magbaliktanaw sa mga kantang sinulat ko,” she said.

(From going through my music catalogue to recording, thinking of the album cover, and now presenting it to you, I poured all my strength and dedication to bring this all to you. Forget about the eyebags and exhaustion! Join me in reminiscing these songs that I wrote.)

Constantino’s roots in the entertainment scene began when she became the first winner of the Pinoy Dream Academy, which launched her singing career. EDV
