Is actress stricken with ‘foot in mouth’ disease?

/ 12:10 AM July 30, 2023

Seasoned Journo (SJ) thought she was doing Earnest Actress (EA) a favor when she wrote about what the latter disclosed to her in a recent out-of-town trip.

EA told SJ that she was tired of doing love stories and romantic films. Ironically, it’s the genre that had turned the former starlet into a bona fide star, especially after she appeared in a string of crowd-pleasing movies that resonated with moviegoers.

To SJ’s surprise, EA was none too pleased about seeing her “disclosure” on print. It didn’t take long before EA started calling SJ’s coworkers and bosses and claimed that the feature about her was “damaging.” But when SJ’s colleagues were shown the said article, they said there was nothing derogatory about the said piece. Is EA worried that the writeup would make her look like she’s biting the hands that feed her?

Next time, if EA doesn’t want to be quoted, she should just keep her thoughts to herself and not blame others for statements that she herself made. That’s what happens when you’re caught putting your foot in your mouth.
