K-pop girl group Everglow will make their long-awaited return with a new album on August 18, according to their label Yue Hua Entertainment.
The sextet’s upcoming comeback comes after one year and eight months since their third mini album “Return of the Girl,” which was released in December 2021. They previously dropped the single “Ghost Light,” which was produced by German DJ TheFatRat in November 2022.
Following the announcement, teaser posters featuring silhouettes of members Sihyeon, E:U, Mia, Onda, Aisha, and Yiren posing behind what seemed to be a white veil, were uploaded on its official social media platforms on Wednesday, July 26.

Everglow’s somewhat long hiatus sparked fears among fans, as the K-pop industry is known for short gaps when it comes to releasing music or other related content. Reasons behind their absence, however, are yet to be disclosed.
Among the groups that debuted during the sextet’s hiatus are NewJeans, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NMIXX, Kep1er, Tempest, Cravity, and Fifty Fifty, among many others.
The girl group debuted in March 2019 with the single album “Arrival of EVERGLOW.” Among their hit songs include “Bon Bon Chocolat,” “La Di Da,” “Adios,” and “Dun Dun,” among others.
Prior to their debut, Sihyeon joined the Korean survival shows “Produce 101” (2016) and “Produce 48” (2018), while Yiren participated in the lattermost show. Meanwhile, Onda joined the series “Idol School” in 2017. EDV
