Alden Richards wants Joshua Garcia to portray him in life story

If given the chance to choose an actor to portray his life story in an episode of the GMA anthology show “Magpakailanman,” Alden Richards revealed that he wants Joshua Garcia to take the role.
Richards briefly revealed this during a zoom media conference, according to an Inquirer Bandera report, where he was asked on which actor he wants to act his life story if given the chance for a part two episode. The Kapuso star’s life story was previously broadcast in the anthology show last February.
“Si Joshua Garcia nasa GMA na, bakit hindi siya, ‘diba? (Joshua Garcia is in GMA, why not him),” he said.
The Kapuso actor said that since his story has already been shown before on Magpakailanman, he hoped that the second part of his life — including his entry in show business — would take center stage, and he is confident that Garcia can give justice to this part of his life .
Meanwhile, Richards also said that if there’s another role that he would like to play, it was the life story of GMA Network chairperson Atty. Felipe Gozon, if given the chance to do so.
For the month of August, Richards will be the featured actor who will star in the four consecutive special episodes of “Magpakailanman,” hosted by Mel Tiangco. In these episodes, he will play different roles, and play alongside various artists, including Sanya Lopez, who he requested to be part of the first episode.
“It’s very challenging kasi contrast sila (episodes) sa isa’t isa. Walang similarites ‘yung mga roles. I think as an actor, I’m looking for something that’s not the usual. Marami na rin po akong nagawang mga projects and siyempre doon tayo sa laging nare-reinvent ‘yung point of view ko pagdating po sa trabaho ko bilang aktor,” he said.
(It’s very challenging because of the contrasting themes in every episode. There are no similarities among these roles. I think as an actor, I’m looking that is not the usual. I have done many projects, and I have always trued to reinvent myself as an actor.)
Richards is currently an exclusive talent of GMA’s Sparkle, where he’s currently the host of the show “Battle of the Judges.” He previously appeared in the teleseryes “Start-Up PH,” “The World Between Us,” and “The Gift,” among many others.
