Real-life sweethearts Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon will be pairing up in the upcoming film “Third World Romance,” which comes months after the actor confirmed that he’s dating the latter.
The couple shared a poster of their movie on their respective Instagram accounts on Wednesday, July 19, which showed Aquino holding an umbrella while Dizon was facing the sky.
“Sulit pa bang magmahal sa kupal na mundong ‘to?” their caption read. (Is it worth it to love in an obnoxious world)
Also included in the cast are Ana Abad Santos, Gardo Versoza, Archi Adamos, Iyah Mina, Esnyr Ranollo, Xilhouete, Brian Black, Lady Morgana, Junjun Quintana, and Donna Cariaga.
The Dwein Ruedas Baltazar-helmed film will premiere in theaters on August 16, although details about its plot are yet to be revealed, as of this writing.
Ranollo, as well as actress Elise Joson, filmmaker Antoinette Jadaone, and film producer expressed their excitement for the project, as seen in the comments of Dizon’s post.

The film comes months after Aquino confirmed that he and Dizon are dating, saying that they spent New Year of 2023 together with the actor’s family in La Union. He was previously in a relationship with model-vlogger Trina Candaza, with whom he has a daughter named Mithi.
The couple fueled dating speculations after they were seen getting cozy at a holiday dinner in December 2022. EDV
