As Ivana Alawi signed another exclusive contract with ABS-CBN, the actress-vlogger admitted wanting to work alongside such prominent actors as Coco Martin and Joshua Garcia, as well as Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
During the renewal of her contract with the network last Wednesday, July 19, Alawi was asked which Kapamilya stars she would like to work with in the future, and she told the press that she “would really love” to star in a teleserye among actors who have already shown their acting mettle.
“Kasi they’re very mahusay. Napakahusay nilang mga actor, and I want to experience working with very talented actors (Because they’re very good. They’re very good actors, and I want to experience working with very talented actors),” she explained.
The actress, however, couldn’t help but break into a giggle when she’s teased by host Robi Domingo about working with Garcia in a future project, especially when pried about a possibility of having a kissing scene with the latter.
“Trabaho po (It’s just for work),” she said, while laughing. But Domingo couldn’t help but tease Alawi even more when she was asked if she’s nervous about engaging in a kiss or intimate scene with the “Unbreak My Heart” actor in the future.
“Parang mas kakabahan siya (I think he’s the one who should be nervous),” she said with a smile.
Meanwhile, Alawi also said that she will do a “teleserye and movies” this year, as she hoped for variety among her many project offers.
Alawi said that she is open to exploring different genres as an actress, where she revealed that she’s open to doing action, horror, and Disney Princess-inspired roles in the future.
“I think I really want to try action, so nag-gym na ako (I started going to the gym). But I want to try action and horror,” she said.
When entertainment reporters, apparently taking note of her attire, asked if she is open to taking a role of a princess, she said she doesn’t impose limits on the roles she wants to play as an actress.
“Of course, I think wala naman akong hinahadlangan. Wala namang limit on the roles. It would be nice [to do a princess role or something for children,” she said.
Despite her success as an actress and vlogger, the “A Family Affair” star noted that she’s “still the same person” and is open to improving herself as the days go by.
“I think I’m still me. I’m still the same person as I was, and I’m here to improve everyday. I’m grounded, and I will start doing more workshops and all. Aside from acting, there will be a lot of improvements,” she said.
“[But] in the future, I would like to have more teleseryes and movies, and something na mapapanood ko na kapag matanda na ako tapos makikita ng mga anak ko, ‘yung tipong, ‘Tignan mo ‘yung mga projects na ginawa ko with ABS-CBN (something that I would watch when I’m older, and my children would see the projects that I’ve done with ABS-CBN),’” she continued.
