Regine Tolentino ‘terrified, humiliated’ after wardrobe malfunction on ‘It’s Showtime’

Regine Tolentino recalled how she felt “terrified and humiliated” after she realized that a part of her breast was exposed during her dance performance on “It’s Showtime” due to wardrobe malfunction.

The actress-dancer, who immediately apologized for the incident during the noontime show’s July 14 episode, spoke about the mishap through her Instagram page on the same day.

“I was a guest on It’s Showtime. I had this amazing showdown routine with [Sheree] and the ‘Showtime Babydolls’ with choreography by Coach Devon,” she began. “We had a short time preparing for the live performance, that my staff from Rta Arlene and Mama Otet from ‘It’s Showtime’ were still securing my costume seconds before going on stage.”

“Because of the rush and stress before hitting the stage, the other nipple tape was not secured properly but the costume itself was super safe. Unfortunately, when I started dancing, medyo na over ‘hataw’ ko …and I had a costume mishap that I discovered halfway through my performance,” she continued.

Tolentino recounted how the dancers who were performing with her, as well as show hosts and staff were shouting at her to inform her of her wardrobe malfunction, but that she did not understand what they were saying until she looked at her costume.

“I was so terrified and humiliated. However, the show must go on and I finished my dance,” she stated.

Tolentino then thanked the “It’s Showtime” staff for their prompt action on the incident, and expressed hope to deliver a better performance on the show in the future.

“I appreciate the effort of the ‘It’s Showtime’ family for protecting me by removing my part on YouTube and disabling the fast forward and rewind feature. Thank you so much po and pasensya sa nangyari,” she said. “Sana makabawi ako another time.”
