Another Kapuso star has graced the “It’s Showtime” stage, as “All-Out Sundays” mainstay Julie Anne San Jose had her first guesting on the Kapamilya noontime show on Monday, July 17.

San Jose made her presence felt immediately with a cover of FIFTY FIFTY’s “Cupid” before joining the hosts in singing the variety show’s theme song.

Led by Vice Ganda, the noontime show’s mainstays and audience, or the “madlang people,” formally welcomed the singer-actress.

The “Popstar Kids” alum would then be asked by Vice Ganda to address the madlang people with the show’s trademark greeting “What’s up, madlang people!”, a moment San Jose said she had long waited for. Known for her vocal prowess, San Jose somehow belted her greeting to the delight of the entire studio.

San Jose, who also got to reunite with former Kapuso star Ogie Alcasid, expressed how grateful she was to guest on the show.

“Siyempre—unang-una sa lahat, binabati ko kayo [hosts] lahat at sobrang happy ako na nandito ako ngayon (Of course—first of all, I want to greet all of you, and I’m so happy to be here today),” she said, adding how joining the mainstays that day was “truly an honor and a privilege.”

Vice Ganda responded to San Jose’s sentiments, and told “The Clash” host how they were also honored to have on the show one of the best singers today.

Co-host Vhong Navarro would not miss the opportunity to tease their guest by mentioning San Jose’s boyfriend, Kapuso actor Rayver Cruz.

Vice Ganda recalled—although the actor-comedian could just be joking—talking to Cruz about the couple’s supposed collaboration for the episode’s opening number. On this, San Jose explained that her partner might be busy with another work commitment.
