Former actress Andi Eigenmann has shown that she can hold her own against the waves of Siargao, but the mom of three claimed that she never expected herself in the same video surfing with fiancé Philmar Alipayo.
The “Camp Sawi” actress, on her Instagram page, shared a video in which the couple displayed their skills individually.
Eigenmann appeared first, and she exhibited great balance and complete focus as she conquered the waves in style—in a colorful swimwear.
Alipayo, a champion surfer, skillfully and effortlessly rode the waves, showing great speed and precision in the execution of tricks that would normally require years to master.
The surfing couple are spotted together in the video’s final frame, both seemingly taking a glance at each other as they head in opposite directions.
In her post’s caption, the former Kapamilya star shared she “[n]ever thought I can be in the same surfing video as @chepoxz [Alipayo]! [emojis],” most likely hinting at the gap between their skill level.

But expect the actress-turned-vlogger to only improve from here on as she appears to be very determined on getting better at surfing, which she claimed in a previous Instagram post was something she initially did “for the fun of it.”
“I’ve been surfing for the fun of it, but nakakahawa ang hardworking and dedicated persona ni papa [Alipayo] (but Alipayo’s hardworking and dedicated persona is contagious)!” shared Eigenmann, adding that “it means the world” to her that her partner believes in her.
The “Agua Bendita” actress competed in her first surfing tournament, the 7th Pacifico Local Surfing Competition, in September last year. Her first wasn’t her last as Eigenmann competed in another tournament, for which Alipayo was the one who signed her up.
The couple, who confirmed their relationship in 2018, announced their engagement in 2020 via Instagram. The pair have two kids together—3-year-old daughter Lilo and son Koa, who turned 2 in January. Eigenmann also has a daughter, 11-year-old Ellie, from her previous relationship with actor Jake Ejercito. /ra
