Christian Bables wins best actor trophy at 19th Asian Film Festival
“Dirty Linen” actor Christian Bables excitedly shared his recent feat after winning the best actor award from an international award-giving body.
On his Instagram page July 2, Bables shared the good news by showing off what looks like a certificate that states he won best actor.
“Received my Best Actor award from the 19th Asian Film Festival held in Rome, Italy, for Jun Robles Lana’s Big Night,” Bables said in his post.
”Thank you, @asian_film_festivals for recognizing the amount of love and passion I have for my craft. This is a continuous reminder for me that I am always just as good as my last work. I will never get tired of lending my heart and soul, to the characters that are just waiting to be heard and seen. I will never get tired of putting my heart in jeopardy,” he said.

Bables expressed his gratitude to his director Jun Lana and to his @theideafirstcompany family for the “never ending trust and confidence.”

In “Big Night,” one of the official entries in the 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival, Bables essays the role of a Dharna, a gay beautician who had the misfortune of having his name included in the drug watch list and who has only a day to clear his name out. /ra
