“Watch until the end!” or you’ll miss Kapuso singer-actress Aicelle Santos and husband former GMA reporter Mark Zambrano’s announcement of their second baby in a video posted on social media Wednesday.
The big announcement began with the couple saying that they have been thinking of starting a podcast, but their daily tasks of working in their respective fields and taking care of their two-year-old daughter Zandrine have prevented them from realizing this goal. Before ending the video, Zambrano said they wanted to share some “big developments” after which Santos stood up from her seat and showed her baby bump.
“How big is that?” the award-winning singer-theater actress said.
Zandrine was also present during the reveal, and when asked if she wanted a little brother or sister, the tot said that she wants “a baby girl and a baby boy.”
Friends from the entertainment industry sent love to the couple, including singers Julie Anne San Jose, Rita Daniela, and Maricris Garcia-Cruz, who with Santos and Jona comprised “La Diva.” Celebrity moms Iya Villania, Iza Calzado, and Dianne Medina also sent their congratulatory messages.
Earlier in the video, Zambrano expressed that they’re happy to be able to engage with their followers, as they haven’t been very active on social media. Santos would explain that it’s mainly because “family life is first now,” adding how she realized that taking care of a toddler is no joke.
“So, picking up your phone to shoot videos and even take pictures, hindi ko na talaga personally nagagawa (I’m not really able to personally do),” shared Santos, who also told fans that they’ll “try to share more [and] update you, guys, with what’s happening with our family.”
Zambrano also thanked their followers for all the love they’ve received from when the couple was just going out, adding how they have only heard “very loving thoughts, and prayers and well wishes” from then up until their family grew.
Zambrano, who is known for his sports commentary work and time with GMA as senior news correspondent, famously courted the “Traffic Diva” while she was doing some hosting duties for the old “Eat Bulaga.” He later on married the “Pinoy Pop Superstar” runner-up in November 2019. A little over a year after, they would welcome their first child in December 2020. EDV
