Anne Curtis, along with her fellow “It’s Showtime” hosts, seemed overwhelmed with happiness and gratitude as they officially became a “Kapamilyang Kapuso” at the noontime show’s contract-signing event with GMA’s GTV Channel.

“In behalf of ‘It’s Showtime’ family, I would like to say thank you very much Mr. Yalong, Mr. Duavit, Ms. Annette and of course, Mr. Gozon for your kindness in welcoming “It’s Showtime” on GTV,” Curtis said with a shaky voice, as seen in a video on the show’s Facebook page on Wednesday, June 28.

“Maraming maraming salamat (Thank you so much) for giving us a venue to continue our journey in making the Madlang People happy and keeping our noontime habit in their homes,” she continued. “On this day, I can say na G na G na po talaga kaming lahat (we are all very G) as we celebrate this remarkable day of becoming a Kapamilyang Kapuso.”

Curtis let out a big sigh after concluding her message and admitted, “I’m so emotional.”

Ogie Alcasid was then called to say his piece, revealing he was supposed to fly to Qatar for a concert but that he rescheduled it to attend the event.

“I really wanted to be here for many reasons. One of which [ay] gustong-gusto ko pong makita ‘yung mga dati kong boss… I also wanted to be here because of my bosses, because sila po ang laging nakikipaglaban para sa lahat ng mga Kapamilya,” he stated. “I also wanted to be here because this is something that I didn’t want to miss.”

(I really wanted to be here for many reasons. One of which is because I really wanted to see my bosses before. I also wanted to be here because of my current bosses who have been fighting for all Kapamilyas. I also wanted to be here because this is something that I didn’t want to miss.)

“Sa ating mga Kapuso, maraming salamat sa pag-welcome niyo sa aming mga Kapamilya,” he added. (To the Kapuso network, thank you for welcoming us Kapamilya.)

Jhong Hilario, for his part, recounted how he had been guesting in GMA shows as part of the Street Boys before he earned the moniker “Sample King” in “It’s Showtime.” He also credited the Kapuso network for building his acting career.

“Sa inyo po na nagpatuloy sa amin sa inyong tahanan, wala po kaming ibang gustong sabihin kundi maraming salamat dahil hindi lang po ang ‘It’s Showtime’ family, [staff at crew] ang pinatuloy niyo sa inyong tahanan, kundi ang napakaraming taong sumusubaybay sa ‘It’s Showtime,'” he told the GMA executives.

(To you who welcomed us to your home, we have nothing to say but thank you because you did not only welcome the “It’s Showtime” family, staff and crew, but also the people who support the show.)

Hilario concluded his message with the quote, “A great man is always willing to be little.”

Kim Chiu, meanwhile, expressed her gratitude and introduced herself to the Kapuso bosses, saying it was her first time to work with the network.

“Ang dami nang pinagdaanan ng ‘Showtime’—ups and downs—and minsan hindi na namin alam kung saan kami mapupunta, pero nagpapasalamat kami sa mga boss namin na patuloy na lumalaban para maghatid ng saya sa lahat ng mga tao,” she spoke of ABS-CBN executives.

(“It’s Showtime” has gone through a lot of ups and downs and there were times when we had no idea where we were going, but we are grateful to our bosses who always strive to bring happiness to the public.)

The actress-TV host then addressed the GMA bosses, “Thank you for giving us a home; thank you for accepting this partnership; walang hanggang pasasalamat para sa inyo for giving us this opportunity.” (Our endless gratitude to you for giving us this opportunity.)

Vice Ganda, who was the last host to give a message, underscored how he is “hopeful, grateful and excited” over the partnership of “It’s Showtime” and GMA.

“Alam ko na ang pangyayaring ito ay magiging simula ng maraming napakagandang pangyayari,” he said. (I know that this event is the start of many beautiful things.)
