Paolo Contis bares plan to marry girlfriend Yen Santos: ‘Eventually, pupunta naman do’n’

Paolo Contis reiterated that he and his girlfriend Yen Santos prefer to keep their relationship private, but the actor declared that he sees himself marrying the actress sometime in the future.
The actor opened up about their relationship after members of the press asked him about Santos’ absence during the premiere night of his new film “Ang Pangarap Kong Oskars,” as reported by Bandera on Monday, June 26.
The press also expressed curiosity on why the pair appear to be limiting themselves in sharing glimpses of their relationship on social media.
“Personal na buhay namin ‘yun, personal na lang naming ginagawa,” Contis explained. “I will never put her… I don’t want to put her in that position anymore.” (It’s our personal lives. We do it [privately]. I will never put her… I don’t want to put her in that position anymore.)
Contis was then asked if there is a possibility of him tying the knot with Santos, which the actor answered affirmatively.
“Eventually, pupunta naman do’n. Marami pa akong dapat ayusin. Oo naman, bakit hindi?” he responded. (Eventually, we are heading there. I still have to sort out a lot of things. But of course, why not?)
Contis added that despite his busy schedule from his many projects, he always makes it a point to spend time with Santos.
“She has her own time also for personal things na ginagawa niya, and hindi na namin inaano ‘yung… kumbaga, pagdating sa trabaho, very open naman ‘yung usapan,” he told the press. “Blessing ‘yan! Magandang problema ‘yan, ang madaming trabaho.”
(She has her own time to do personal things and we [do not need] to discuss it. We are very open when it comes to work, and it’s a blessing! Having several projects all at once is a beautiful problem.)
Contis confirmed last January his relationship with Santos, after over a year of speculations from the public.
The actors first sparked dating rumors in 2021 after they were paired in the film “A Faraway Land.” There were speculations at the time that Santos was the cause of the actor’s split with his former partner, LJ Reyes. Contis later dismissed these speculations, saying he was no longer with Reyes when he and Santos started dating.
Contis also revealed in May that he fell in love with Santos after she stayed with him despite having every opportunity to leave amid the third-party allegations. /ra
