Marjorie Barretto was one proud mom about the performance of her daughter, actress Julia Barretto, in her new film “Will You Be My Ex” as she raved about the latter’s chemistry with her leading man, Diego Loyzaga.

Marjorie and her son Leon attended the premiere of her daughter’s new film, via the former’s Instagram post on Wednesday, June 21, where she praised the latter for her “amazing” performance.

“I have had the privilege of being present in all of Julia’s premier nights for her movies for several years now. Last night was different. Watching their new movie ‘Will You Be My Ex,’ I came not really knowing what to expect,” she said. “But from the beginning I started to forget I was watching my daughter. You were AMAZING, raw and natural in this movie Jul.”

“Your onscreen chemistry with @diegoloyzaga was a pleasant surprise for all of us watching. Galing mo, Diego! You would think from the title that this is just a light romcom… but boy will you be surprised,” she said, while tagging Loyzaga’s Instagram account.

“Believe me when I say that [I] am Julia’s worst critic. Her anxiety from premier nights is coming from what my feedback would be. But you made me cry with this one, Jul. Big time,” she said. “You will leave the theater with a new and fresh perspective about breakups, letting go and moving forward… with grace #selflove . Everyone can relate.”

Julia was seemingly grateful with her mother’s loving words, which can be seen in the comments of the latter’s post.
