Not even a week after the wedding of her elder sister to her non-showbiz fiancé, Kristine Hermosa penned a touching message to her beloved “ate” Kathleen who started living far away from their place.
In an Instagram post, Kristine uploaded a photo of Kathleen walking down the aisle a week after her wedding. In the caption, Kristine told Kathleen, who is two years older than her, “Never thought I would miss you this much, Ate [crying face emoji].”
Kristine said that the fact that they would be spending more time apart is “slowly sinking in,” adding that they are no longer a village apart, hinting that Kathleen is moving—presumably to Cebu, as her now-husband Miko Santos is based there.
The older Hermosa then commented on Kristine’s post with the lyrics of the song “For You I Will,” by Monica.
“I will miss you so much pero di naman ako mawala (I will miss you so much but I won’t be disappearing),” Kathleen told her. “I think mas madalas pa sa madalas ako mangungulit kasi magvideo call ako everyday!! Waaaahhhh. Pero baka makulitan ka lalu sa akin.” (I think I’ll be bothering you more often because I’ll be video calling you every day. But you might get more annoyed at me.)
Kathleen would conclude her response by reassuring Kristine further, “Ate loves you soooooo much. Basta I’m not going anywhere.”
The 41-year-old newlywed also posted snaps of the two of them with their respective spouses on her Instagram Stories.
Following his sister-in-law’s emotional post, Miko, on behalf of the newlyweds, also took to Instagram to thank Kristine and husband, Oyo Boy Sotto. “Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng tulong, suporta at pagmamahal na binibigay nyo sa amin lalo na kay @kathermosa [heart emojis],” he told the couple. (Thank you very much for all the help, support, and love that you give us, especially to @kathermosa.)
“We’ll miss you but we’ll see you soon. God bless you and your family always,” he added. Kristine also reacted to the post, and commented, “Mahal namin kayo (We love you).”
Kathleen and Santos said their “I do’s” during a garden wedding in Cebu on June 8, following Santos’ proposal to the “Starla” actress in December last year. EDV
