Maine Mendoza, other Dabarkads elated about transfer to TV5: ‘Tuloy ang isang libo, isang tuwa’
Original “Eat Bulaga” mainstays Maine Mendoza, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Ryan Agoncillo, Paolo Ballesteros, Pauleen Luna-Sotto, Allan K., and former host Maja Salvador, are excited to start over in TV5 network, following the announcement of Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon (TVJ) last June 7 that they are transferring to the Kapatid channel.
Sharing the same short clip announcing TVJ’s transfer to TV5, the former EB hosts took to social media to express their excitement about continuing what the noontime show pillars have left off.
The video showed “TVJ” in all-caps before shifting into the shortened forms of the previous networks where “Eat Bulaga” was shown, RPN-9, ABS-CBN, and GMA. The clip ends with the letters “TVJ” which then turns the “J” into the number five, along with the tagline, “Ang bago naming tahanan (our new home.)
Mendoza was among those who is seemingly excited about getting back to work with a new network.
“Tuloy ang isang libo’t isang tuwa,” she said, which is actually a line from the longest-running noontime show’s theme song.

Meanwhile, Dizon gave thanks for their new home. “Ang aming bagong tahanan, @tv5manila #TVJ [sparkle emoji] Thank you Lord,” she said on Instagram.
Agoncillo’s post on his personal Instagram page also had the same caption as Mendoza’s, while Ballesteros said on Instagram that TV5 is their “new home.”

Luna then hoped that their “legit Dabarkads” would support their new show. On the other hand, Allan K. shared a video clip without any caption.

Former EB host Maja Salvador was also excited to welcome TVJ into the Kapatid network.
“MGA KAPATID NANDITO NA ANG MGA LEGIT DABARKADS,” she said in the caption.

Further details about TVJ’s new show, as well as its premiere date, in the Kapatid network has yet to be announced, as of this writing.
Tito, Vic, and Joey’s transfer to TV5 was confirmed by Mediaquest Holdings Inc. last June 7 in a press statement, where the former senator expressed his excitement about their “fresh start.”
“We are thankful to our friends at Mediaquest for this fresh start. Dahil sa ating mga Dabarkads na naging Kapatid, tuloy pa rin ang tuwa’t saya na aming dala,” he said. EDV
