Bea Alonzo clarifies she’s not yet engaged to Dominic Roque

Bea Alonzo has put a stop to rumors surrounding her alleged engagement to boyfriend, actor Dominic Roque, stressing that he hasn’t put a ring on her finger yet.
The celebrity couple sparked engagement speculations on social media after Roque shared an Instagram a photo of himself with Alonzo during their romantic getaway in Amanpulo.

During a brief interview with GMA-7’s Unang Hirit on Wednesday, June 7, the actress clarified that the seemingly romantic photos are meant to be some sort of throwback to their trip.
“Picture ‘yun noong nagpunta kami sa Amanpulo na akala ng mga tao na engaged kami,” she said. “Hindi, hindi pa [kami engaged] po.” (Those were photos when we went to Amanpulo, which led people to think we got engaged. No, we’re not yet engaged.)
The Kapuso network also reported that according to Alonzo, her boyfriend is just fond of sharing throwback photos on social media.
While the celebrity couple is yet to be engaged, showbiz writer Ogie Diaz revealed in an October 2022 vlog that Roque saw the “One More Chance” star as the one he would settle down with in the future.
“Sabi ni Dom, hindi naman talaga nila napag-uusapan ni Bea ‘yung kasal for now. Pero syempre kung siya ang tatanungin, sigurado daw siya na si Bea ‘yung kanyang pakakasalan. ‘Sure ako kay Bea,’ sabi niya,” Diaz said then. /ra
