Filipino boy group SB19 has accomplished another career milestone as its single “Gento” entered Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.
The quintet’s newest song made its Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart debut at number eight, according to the U.S.-based music magazine’s official website. The chart records the “most popular downloaded songs” of the week based on data compiled by insights company Luminate.
On the other hand, BTS’ “The Planet” remained on the top of the chart. The single is the theme song of the upcoming South Korean animated series “Bastions.”
The P-pop group took to their official Twitter page to celebrate its recent achievement on Wednesday, May 31, as they thanked their fandom, A’TIN.
“SB19 ‘GENTO’ #8 on Billboard World Digital Song Sales. A’TIN! You keep taking us to heights unimaginable. What you are is truly AMAZING,” their tweet read.

This is not SB19’s first time on the Billboard charts. To recall, they are the first Filipino and Southeast Asian artists to be nominated for Top Social Artist in the music platform’s Billboard Music Awards in April 2021, among many other milestones.
“Gento” is said to be a glimpse of SB19’s forthcoming album “Pagtatag!” which is a combination of the words “ganito” (like this), “ginto (gold),” and “gento” (Caviteño slang for ganito), according to a release.
The group — consisting of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin — will release their six-track album on June 9. EDV
