Priscilla Meirelles tears up as she wishes for daughter Anechka’s happiness

Priscilla Meirelles opened up about being a mother to Anechka and underscored how she has been blessed with “a beautiful human being” to be her daughter.
Meirelles said this during the morning talk show “Magandang Buhay” on Thursday, May 18, after the actress-beauty queen received a surprise video message from her only child.
“Hi, mommy. I just want to say that you’re the best mom ever. I love you so much, especially because you always help me, you’re always there for me, you always care for me, and you always listen,” Anechka said in the video. “Thank you for everything you’ve done to me, and I love you so much.”
Show hosts and fellow celebrity moms Regine Velasquez, Jolina Magdangal and Melai Cantiveros then noted how Aneckha has grown into a beautiful girl, with Meirelles saying that she still considers her daughter as her “baby.”
“I am so blessed. Anechka is such a beautiful human being. She is beautiful, she is [and] I’m just really so blessed,” Meirelles said as she started tearing up. “Because kung ibinigay ni Lord ‘yung (if Lord would have given the) chance for me to pick, I wouldn’t have picked that well.”
“She knows that I’m here 100 percent and that no matter what, I will love her unconditionally, always,” she continued. “I just want her to succeed. I want her to be happy. More than anything, gusto ko talaga proud siya sa sarili niya (I want her to be proud of herself).”
Meirelles then spoke about how she always reminds Anechka to accomplish things for her own happiness and not for her parents’.
“Ang palagi kong turo sa kanya, ‘As long as tama ‘yung ginagawa mo, [at] the end of the day kung saan ka masaya, dapat nandiyan ka. ‘Wag mo na isipin masyado ang gusto ni mommy kasi [at] the end of the day, ‘yung gusto ni mommy ay masaya ka,'” Meirelles said.
(I always tell her, “As long as you are doing the right thing, at the end of the day, you should do what makes you happy. Do not think too much of what makes mommy happy because at the end of the day, what mommy wants is for you to be happy.)
“Being a nanay ng isang batang babae (mom of a young girl), [it’s really] important to teach them to respect themselves and to make sure that others respect them,” she added.
Meirelles then gave a message to her daughter as well, saying, “I love you unconditionally. Mommy will always be here for you. Even kung nasa heaven (na) ako, nandito pa rin ako sa tabi niya,” Meirelles said.
Anechka is Meirelles’ daughter with her husband, actor John Estrada. The couple recently made headlines after Meirelles revealed that they had been having marital problems caused by “many reasons.”
Meirelles and Estrada seemed to have doused the flames of their marital woes as they have been frequently seen enjoying family moments together. /ra
