Michelle Dee was an elegant sight to behold in a series of black-and-white photos after she was named as Miss Universe Philippines 2023.
The newly-crowned queen looked majestic as she wore her elegant La Mer en Majesté crown in a simple black cut-out gown by Mark Bumgarner in several poses, among them while wearing a rose choker and a milliner’s hat, and one while hanging by gymnastics rings in photos. The photos were taken by Doc Marlon, as seen on the his Instagram account on Sunday, May 14.
Dee’s look was also put together by makeup artist Dave Quiambao, hair stylist Nelly Tolentino, and stylist Kenneth Ramil.
“Congratulations! The new Queen! Miss Universe Philippines 2023 @michelledee,” Marlon’s caption read.
The reigning MUPh queen received an outpouring of support from Marlon’s followers in the comments, including one from Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez.
“Tooo good!! And deserving! Congratulations Michelle,” Rodriguez wrote.

Dee was crowned as Miss Universe Philippines 2023 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday, May 13, on her second attempt at the national tilt. She is notably the second Miss World Philippines titleholder who made a successful crossover to become the Philippines’ representative to Miss Universe.
The titleholder, who was dubbed as one of the favorites for the crown, received Miss Aqua Boracay, Miss Pond’s, and Miss Zion Philippines awards at the preliminary competition. EDV
