PH bets to Miss Supranational, Miss Charm pageants crowned
MANILA, Philippines — Right after Michelle Dee was proclaimed as the Philippines’ representative to the 2023 Miss Universe pageant, the country’s bets to two more global tilts were also crowned.
Pauline Amelinckx from Bohol and Krishnah Gravidez from Baguio were crowned Miss Supranational Philippines and Miss Charm Philippines, respectively, in a brief program held at the Cove Manila pool club of Okada Manila in Parañaque City in the early morning of May 14, right after the 2023 Miss Universe Philippines coronation show was held at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 13.
Both Amelinckx and Gravidez were in the Top 5 of the national pageant, with Christine Opiaza as the first runner-up and Angelique Manto as the second runner-up.
Empire Philippines holds the Philippine franchises for both the Miss Supranational and Miss Charm pageants. Its head Jonas Gaffud is also the creative director of the Miss Universe Philippines Organization.
The 2023 Miss Universe Philippines pageant is the fourth staging of the standalone national competition that chooses the country’s delegate to the Miss Universe pageant.

This is the first year that Empire Philippines will send the country’s delegate to the Miss Supranational pageant. Amelinckx will compete in the international contest’s 2023 edition in July. Her counterpart in the Mister Supranational pageant, Johannes Rissler, has been recently proclaimed in the first Mister Pilipinas Worldwide contest, also mounted by Empire Philippines.
Mutya Datul remains to be the lone Filipino woman to be proclaimed Miss Supranational. She won the title 10 years ago. The Philippines still has not scored a victory in the Mister Supranational contest.
