Pauline Amelinckx of Bohol bags 10 special awards at Miss Universe Philippines preliminaries
It seems like the third time’s the charm for Pauline Amelinckx as she dominated the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPh) 2023 preliminary competition with 10 special awards.
Amelinckx, who’s representing Bohol in the national pageant, emerged as one of the frontrunners as she brought home 10 brand awards including the following:
- Miss Kemans Body
- Miss Hello Glow
- Miss Origee Beauty Drink by Skin Magical
- Miss Jojo Bragais
- Miss Creamsilk Ultimate
- Miss Soen
- Miss Titan Universe
- Miss Enderun
- Miss Smilee Apparel
- Miss Avana

MUPh Tourism 2022 and returning queen Michelle Dee of Makati, seen as another favorite to win the crown, bagged the Miss Zion Philippines, Miss Aqua Boracay, and Miss Pond’s special awards.

Pampanga’s Angelique Manto, meanwhile, won the Miss Okada, Miss Avon, Miss Jewelmer, and Miss Cavasco, while Agusan del Norte’s Jannarie Zarzoso took home the Miss Kingston International College award.

The giving of special awards happened after the MUPh’s preliminaries which took place at Okada Manila last Wednesday, May 10, where candidates put their best foot forward in the interview, swimsuit, and evening gown portion.
The national pageant’s coronation will take place on Saturday, May 13 at Mall of Asia Arena, where Celeste Cortesi will relinquish her title. Kapuso stars Alden Richards and Xian Lim will be hosting the pageant, while Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi will serve as a guest host.
Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel will also be present at the national pageant, which marks her first time in the Philippines after five years. EDV
