Janella Salvador after duet with Regine Velasquez: ‘I want to immortalize this experience’
Janella Salvador was over the moon following a chance of a lifetime to share the stage with Regine Velasquez, who even gave her a compliment after their performance.
On Instagram, Salvador gushed over her duet with the Asia’s Songbird at the “Asap Natin ‘To” stage last weekend where they sang a rendition of Adele’s “All I Ask” and “Hello,” saying this is now an item off her bucket list.
“I just wanted to immortalize this experience and show you what a true queen @reginevalcasid is. And now I can finally cross out [check emoji] a duet with Asia’s Songbird,” she said in the caption.

The singer-actress admitted that she was “nervous” in singing along with Velasquez, and then the latter told her on the spot to take some of her lines.
“‘Janella… Janella! Ikaw na kumanta ng verse ko’ was what she said because she wanted me to have more singing parts. Best believe I was nervous as this happened on the spot (which is why I kind of messed up the words),” she wrote.
Velasquez then praised Salvador’s performance in the comments section, saying that she’s “so proud” of the “Darna” star.
“So sounded great sweetheart ang ganda at ang galing mo I’m so proud of you. Sorry sa last minute ha nabitin ako sa part mo eh,” she said. (You sounded so great, sweetheart. You were beautiful and amazing. I’m so proud of you. I’m sorry for the last minute request, I wanted to hear more of your parts.)
Salvador and Velasquez’s stage also earned rave reactions from celebrities Marina Summers, Marlo Mortel, Jane Oineza, Joj Agpangan, Jai Agpangan, and Melai Cantiveros, and journalist Edson Guido and screenwriter Darla Sauler, as seen in the comments of the former’s post.
The actress, who also appeared in “Be Careful with my Heart,” “Oh My G,” and “The Killer Bride,” is behind the popular songs “Mahal Kita Pero” and “Blanko,” and counts Velasquez as among her favorites. EDV
