Maine Mendoza grew sentimental as her sitcom “Daddy’s Girl” with Vic Sotto finally aired its final episode last May 6.

On Instagram, Mendoza had nothing but words of appreciation to her co-stars and staff as she bid goodbye to her character Stacy Otogan, which she had been playing for four years. Stacy is the daughter of the lead character, Barak Otogan, played by Sotto.

“The Otogans are signing off. [heart emoji] Thank you, Bossing. Thank you, DG fam. Grateful for many things. Thank You,” she said referring to Sotto’s moniker. She also shared a glimpse of the show’s finale script and behind-the-scenes with Sotto.

The actress-host also hoped that her fans would watch the upcoming sitcom “Open 24/7” starring Sotto, Maja Salvador, and Jose Manalo, which is expected to replace the show.

“Catch our finale episode tonight at 9:15pm and watch out for Open 24/7 coming real soon. Maraming salamat, mga Kapuso! Your daddy’s gurl, Stacy O,” she wrote.

“Daddy’s Gurl” writer Noreen Capili and director Chris Martinez, as well as actress Ciara Sotto, expressed their appreciation for Mendoza in the comments of her post.

“It was always both challenging and fun to write Visitacion Otogan. Thank you for giving your all. Yung mga adlib mo, yung mga di tinipid na acting. For me, you really are the next Maricel Soriano,” Capili said.

“Salamat, @mainedcm ! Salamat sa lahat lahat! I wish you all the best in life and in your career! Miss ko na kayo! At mi-miss pa lalo! THANK YOU, VISITACION “STACY” OTOGAN! CONGRATULATIONS!!! TAKE A BOW,” Martinez said.
