‘It’s Showtime’ returns to noontime timeslot as ‘Tropang LOL’ signed off
“It’s Showtime,” ABS-CBN’s noontime program has returned to its 12-noon timeslot from Monday to Saturday on TV5, A2Z, and Kapamilya Channel, as “Tropang LOL” aired its final episode last April 29.
The network confirmed that “It’s Showtime” went back to its original 12:00-noon timeslot and will run for three hours starting on Monday, May 1, as seen in an announcement on ABS-CBN PR’s official Instagram page last weekend.
“IT’S TIME TO MAKE SOME NOISE, MADLANG PEOPLE! #ItsTimeForShowtime. Mananatiling tanghaling tapat po kami sa inyo sa pagbibigay good vibes at inspirasyon araw-araw! Magkita-kita tayo ngayong May 1, Lunes, sa pagbabalik 12 NOON ng IT’S SHOWTIME,” its post read.
(It’s time to make some noise, madlang people! We will return to our noontime timeslot to give good vibes and inspiration everyday. Let’s see each other starting on May 1, Monday, at “It’s Showtime” at 12:00 noon.)

During its May 1 broadcast, hosts Vice Ganda, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Karylle, Anne Curtis, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, Amy Perez, Teddy Corpuz, and Jugs Jugueta marked the return of the noontime show through a series of song and dance performances.
Article continues after this advertisementThe noontime show airs from 12:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., when “Tropang LOL” used to have the 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. timeslot.
Following the return of “It’s Showtime,” the tabloid talk show “Face 2 Face” featuring Karla Estrada replaced “Tropang LOL” on its 11:00 a.m. timeslot, which runs for about an hour.
Reports of “Tropang LOL” going off air surfaced in March 2023, where Billy Crawford and KC Montero confirmed that the cast filmed its final episode a month later.
Formerly known as “Lunch Out Loud,” the variety show includes the cast Alex Gonzaga, Bayani Agbayani, Wacky Kiray, and Matteo Guidicelli, among others. EDV
