With the help of Ryan Bang as translator, Manny Pacquiao treated the cast of South Korean variety show “Running Man” to a hearty meal and a tour of his sprawling mansion in Forbes Park, Makati.
This mansion, which was bought by Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee from president Lorenzo Tan at the height of his boxing career, is now being sold for P2.3 billion.
The boxing legend and Bang’s heartwarming interactions with the show’s cast were featured in its April 23 episode, where snippets are uploaded on the YouTube channel of Korean entertainment platform Kocowa.
During the variety show, Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Jee Seok-jin, Song Ji-hyo, Kim Jong-kook, Jeon So-min, and Yang Se-chan visited the boxer-turned-politician’s Forbes Park home as one of the highlights of their visit to the Philippines earlier this month.
Among the noteworthy moments of the episode featured Pacquiao treating the cast to a delicious buffet lunch, where Jae-suk and Haha noted that the former seems more “relaxed” and at ease in his home country.
The boxing icon also treated the cast to a tour around his mansion, where self-confessed fitness junkie Jong-kook was seen getting excited over Pacquiao’s gym and boxing equipment.
So-min, on the other hand, made the cast laugh when she immediately jumped into the pool.
Pacquiao was featured as a guest of the show’s October 2022 episode, which is included in one of his promotional activities during his South Korea visit. Pacquiao also won over mixed martial artist DK Yoo during an exhibition game.
The Filipino boxing legend and his wife Jinkee are known for their love of Korean culture, where they are friends with actress-singer Sandara Park and actor Ji Chang-woo. EDV
