Maris Racal to represent film ‘Where is the Lie’ at Udine film festival in Italy

Maris Racal couldn’t help but be elated by the privilege of representing the Quark Henares-helmed film “Where is the Lie,” at the annual Udine Far East Film Festival in Italy.

Racal took to her personal Instagram page on Tuesday, April 25, to express her excitement about jetting off to Italy to attend the 2023 edition of the film festival. The post was also accompanied with a passport-size photo glued at what appeared to be an application.

“We’re going to Italy!! I [can’t] believe [I’m gonna] be at the Udine Far East Film Festival 2023 to represent our film, ‘Where Is The Lie,’” she said.

The actress also tagged her co-star EJ Jallorina in the post, which implied that the latter would be joining her at the festival as well.

“[See you] @ejjallorina So exciting! Thank [you] universe,” she added.

The film’s director Quark Henares showed his support for the “The Goodbye Girl” star in the comments.

“WAAAAAAAAAAAUGHHH REPRAZENT MARIS!!! [heart emojis] Eat and enjoy all the lovely food and people,” he said.

Aside from Henares, fellow celebrities Enchong Dee, Jai Agpangan, Michele Gumabao, and Kaladkaren, as well as content creator Esnyr Ranollo congratulated Racal on her recent milestone, as seen in the comments of her post.

Based on a true story, “Where Is The Lie” revolves around the hopeless romantic transgender woman Janzen Torres (EJ Jallorina) who gets catfished by Theo Balmaceda (Royce Cabrera) on a dating app in an elaborate plan set up by mastermind Beanie Landridos (Maris Racal). EDV
