Ogie Alcasid reaffirmed his love for wife, Regine Velasquez, who celebrated her 53rd birthday on April 22, Saturday, with a wish for her to be able to do her favorite things, which include more movie marathons and body massages.
On Instagram, the singer-songwriter penned a series of birthday greetings for Velasquez, who received a huge bouquet of yellow blooms from her husband of 23 years.
“I love you my dear wife and I wish you pure joy on your special day. May you be granted unlimited time to do scrapbook and watch your most favorite movies on demand. Have the best massage from ate gi and nibble on your most fave goodies. Most of all, may you be worry free and stress free. Thank you my love for being you,” Alcasid captioned his video post, with Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely” as accompaniment.
The video was actually a slideshow of pictures featuring moments with Asia’s Songbird, some of them appearing candid shots.
The Alcasids also celebrated her birthday with her side of the family, as well as with Leila Alcasid. Leila is Alcasid’s daughter with ex-wife, Australian beauty queen Michelle van Eimeren.
Several celebrities also sent their greetings to the singer-actress via the comments sector of her and Alacsid’s IG posts.
Alcasid and Velasquez tied the knot on December 22, 2010 at a lavish wedding in Nasugbu, Batangas. They have a son named Nate, who was born November 8, 2012.
