Alex Gonzaga surprised her husband Mikee Morada on his birthday by releasing “Swerte,” her new song which she dedicates to him.
The actress-TV host compiled moments of them together in the song’s music video uploaded on her YouTube channel on Tuesday, April 18. “Swerte” was co-written by Gonzaga alongside John Roa and Daniel “Flip-D” Tuazon.
“Ang swerte ko nga ikaw ang binigay / Ang swerte ko nga ikaw ang kasabay ko na tumanda at ang iyong kamay / Ang hawak ko habang buhay / Ang swerte ko nga ikaw ang binigay / pag kumukulit merong sumasaway / At paminsan minsan ay sumasabay / karamay ko habang buhay,” the chorus of the song goes.
(I am lucky because you were given to me. I am lucky that you are the one I get to grow old with, and your hands will be the ones I will hold forever. I am lucky because you were given to me. When I am stubborn, you talk sense to me and at times go along with me. You are my partner for life.)
Gonzaga then made an appreciation post to Morada through a separate Instagram post.
“Mikee, NAPAKA swerte ko. Actually kulang ang salitang swerte para matapatan ang nararamdaman ko tuwing magkasama tayo,” she said. “Every day lagi mo ako binibigyan dahilan para mas mahalin ka at magpasalamat sa Dios na binigay ka niya sakin.”
(Mikee, I am very lucky. Actually, the word “lucky” is not enough to describe the feeling I have whenever we are together. Every day you give me a reason to love you more and to thank God for giving me someone like you.)
“Napakabuti mong tao at napakaswerte ng sino man na makikilala ang Mikee na asawa, best friend, kakampi, taga-payo at tagapagtanggol ko,” she added. “Mahal na mahal kita, Mikee. Happy birthday Papamel.”

Alex and Morada tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony at the Gonzaga residence in November 2020. The couple visited last March the construction of their new home. /ra
