Kiray Celis fulfilled her promise to her mother as the actress-comedian gifted the latter a whopping P1 million in cash for her birthday.
The “Goin’ Bulilit” alum said the money will be used for the construction of their new house that will be up for rent, as per Celis’ Facebook page on Monday, April 10.
“Pinag-ipunan ko ito kasi ito ‘yung gusto kong ibigay sa kanya, kasi ipapagawa niya ‘yung bago naming bahay. Meron akong biniling lote sa kanya nung nakaraan tapos ito na ‘yung pampagawa ng bagong bahay,” Celis said.
(I saved up for this because I wanted to give it to her for the construction of our new house. I recently bought her a lot and here’s what she is going to spend to build a new house there.)
“Ito na yung ipinangako ko sa ‘yo—isang milyon para sa ‘yo, mama,” she then told her mom. (Here’s what I promised to you—P1 million for you, mama.)
Celis put the money inside a motorcycle helmet to prank her mom into thinking that it was her birthday gift. Both the mother and daughter turned emotional as the former thanked the actress-comedian for being their breadwinner and for being a “big help” to their family.
Celis received words of admiration from fans who commended her for her generosity via her Instagram post’s comments section.
