Imagine Barbie and Ken leaving their fantastic Barbie world to live among humans as themselves.
This is the sweeping theme of the live-action flick “Barbie” featuring Margot Robbie as the iconic fashion figurine, and Ryan Gosling as her lovely boy toy Ken.
In the teaser trailer uploaded on Warner Bros. Philippines’ YouTube channel on Wednesday, April 5, Robbie — donning Barbie’s signature all-pink outfit — and Gosling were shown meeting multiple iterations of themselves in some fabulous, doll-like wonderland.
This, despite Ken’s apparent distaste in finding out that there were alternate Kens, too, in another world, grunting at “another Ken” portrayed by Simu Liu.
The scene then shifted to Robbie and Gosling on a trip to the “real world” in an all-pink convertible, with the latter noting that he “never leaves home” without his roller blades.
The upcoming film also treated excited fans to a batch of character posters on its official Twitter page on Tuesday, April 4, where the Barbies are described with varying superlatives, and the Kens are hilariously said to be “just” and “another” version of one another.
The film also revealed another set of new characters on Twitter, saying that they are known as the “humans.”
