The song is said to be a pre-release track to Suga’s upcoming album “D-Day” which will be released on April 21. The record is described as the final installment of the K-pop juggernaut’s Agust D trilogy.
Suga and IU previously worked together in the hit song “eight” in May 2020, which was said to be a “short confessional recount.”
Reports of Suga and IU’s second collaboration first emerged in March, although the former’s agency noted that it’s “difficult to confirm” at that time.
Prior to his solo album, Suga produced tracks for South Korean hip-hop trio Epik High, as well as solo artists Suran, Psy, and Heize.
He also worked on music for the seven-member K-pop global sensation including “Seesaw,” “Tomorrow,” “Outro: Her,” and “Let Me Know,” among many others.
Meanwhile, IU, who was born as Lee Ji-eun, is a singer-songwriter best known for her hit songs “Lilac,” “Good Day,” “BBiBBi,” “Palette,” “Through the Night,” and more.
She also made a name for herself as an actress where she starred as the lead of the K-dramas “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” “Hotel del Luna,” and “Dream High,” among others. EDV
