BTS’ Suga is preparing to release his solo debut album “D-Day” on April 21, which is said to be the final installment of his mixtape trilogy.

Suga’s much-anticipated album was confirmed by South Korean music label Big Hit Music on Sunday night, April 2, where a pre-release track from the record will be dropped on April 7.

“D-Day” is described as an album that marks the end of his Agust D trilogy, following his mixtapes “Agust D” in 2016 and “D-2” in 2020, according to a release from Big Hit via Korean media outlet Sports Chosun.

Suga addresses himself as his alter ego Agust D during solo promotions, which is a combination of “Suga” spelled backwards and DT or referring to his hometown in Daegu Town, in South Korea.

The label also noted that the BTS member took charge of producing the songs and lyrics, as he also took charge of planning its concept and composition. Additional details are said to be revealed in the coming weeks.

Following the release of his album, Suga is set to kick off his solo tour at the UBS Arena in New York in the U.S. this coming April 26 and 27. The tour also includes stops in South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore.

Born as Min Yoon-gi, Suga debuted as the lead rapper of BTS in June 2013. Apart from the group’s music, he also produced songs for solo artists such as IU, Psy, and Heize, as well as hip-hop trio Epik High. EDV
