MANILA, Philippines—Myla Villagonzalo-Tsutaichi, 2020 Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International and organizer of the Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International Japan pageant, is back in the country to conduct another outreach program.

“I have been doing this before. But since I was crowned, I made it a commitment to be more active in my charity work,” she told the Inquirer in an interview at Okada Manila in Parañaque City on Tuesday, March 28, just a day after her outreach project was held.

She went to Purok Sumulong in Barangay Dela Paz in Antipolo City on March 27 to bring cheer to around 200 children from poor families. “I provided for everything in the activity, which was organized by the Kabataang May Magagawa group,” she shared.

The beauty queen spent time with the children for some fun activities and games, and provided them sustenance for the day through a feeding program.

School supplies, toys and hygiene kits were also distributed to the child attendees, who Tsutaichi clarified are not orphans.

Kabataang May Magagawa also extended its gratitude to the reigning titleholders of Tsuatichi’s Japan pageant–Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International Japan Marivel Canillo Kawajiri, Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International Philippines-Japan Wannie Maninang Ono, Mrs. Universe (Official) Japan Natasha Camille Tagle, Mrs. Universe (Official) Philippines-Japan Stephany Setenta and Mrs. Face of Tourism Japan Miraluna Yoshida.

The five ladies were crowned in the inaugural edition of the Mrs. Tourism Ambassador International Japan pageant held in Tokyo in February, and will compete in different international contests.

Tsutaichi said she will return to the Philippines with her reigning queens for another charity event before they compete in their respective international pageants.  /ra
