WATCH: Nadine Lustre looks back at her childhood in first vlog
Weeks after she launched her YouTube channel, Nadine Lustre reintroduced herself to the public by giving a peek at her childhood as well as her family in her first-ever vlog on Friday, March 3.
The actress compiled old clips from when she was just an infant to being a “bibo kid” who dreamt of being many things including being a manga artist, voice actor, painter and photographer. She also recalled how she started her showbiz career by hosting a kiddie variety show, and how her parents influenced her to be inclined to music.
“I knew I love performing even when I was a little girl and it was something that I’ve always wanted to do. But where I’m at now, it’s not something that I expected,” she said. “I guess my parents saw a lot of potential in me so they encouraged me to go out there and kind of show myself.”
Lustre also admitted that she was initially “frustrated” because she was not able to attend high school and “experience that life.” Lustre said she eventually got over it after she realized that what she was doing was “pretty amazing.”
“So I just kept going and found myself in the middle of all of these. It’s tough, but I know that this is my dream so I had to go through it,” she stated.
