Kapuso heartthrob David Licauco appeared to shed off his gentlemanly garb from his successful outing at the hit GMA teleserye “Maria Clara at Ibarra” to show off his fit physique as he graced the digital cover of a local lifestyle magazine.

The actor, dubbed as “Pambansang Ginoo” (national gentleman), turned the heat up as flexed his toned muscles in a series of hunky photos that he posted on his social media accounts that showed him doing ordinary acts — drinking from a water bottle, looking intently at a house of cards, or just standing up doing nothing.

Licauco’s looks were put together by celebrity stylist David Milan and makeup artist Nathan Frias Ferolino for Cosmopolitan Philippines’ cover photo shoot taken by Koji Arboleda, as seen on the actor’s personal Instagram account on Tuesday, Feb. 28. The magazine called the actor “the man of the hour.”

In a joint Instagram post, the Filipino-Chinese star was wearing a black beret and a white tank top while lounging on a divan.

The actor appeared to be pleased with the outcome of the shoot, as he also took to his Twitter page to share photos of himself drinking from a water bottle on the same day.

Fans were having a field day commenting on Licauco’s shoot cover. One @Mia23_dl said she just wanted to be a “water bottle” after seeing the actor’s photos.

Another @galletatin said in jest that she loves drinking water.

One @whois_amaya appeared to be shocked with the actor’s photos.

Even Licauco’s onscreen partner Barbie Forteza is proud of the actor’s recent milestone. “Yun oh (That’s it)! Congrats @davidlicauco,” her tweet read.

As seen in excerpts from the cover story, the actor was on the brink of quitting his acting career to focus on his various businesses, before landing the opportunity to star as Fidel.

Apart from the hit teleserye, Licauco also starred in the series “Mulawin vs. Ravena” and “Heartful Cafe”. His acting career started in 2014 after appearing on an episode of the now-defunct ABS-CBN talk show “Gandang Gabi Vice” and a cameo on the film “The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin”.

The heartthrob also confirmed in February 2022 that he is currently single and he recently went through a break-up. EDV
