Kylie Padilla urges bashers to stop calling AJ Raval a mistress: ‘It’s not fair to her’

Kylie Padilla has set the record straight about AJ Raval being the cause of her breakup with estranged husband Aljur Abrenica, as she urged bashers to stop the persistent “kabit” or mistress accusations against the sexy star.
Padilla stressed in a Facebook live on Sunday, Feb. 26 that the third party accusations against Raval are “unfair,” days after the latter defended herself from a netizen who called her a mistress.
“Hindi po talaga si AJ ‘yung reason [ng breakup namin ni Aljur]. And that’s the truth. Hindi po talaga siya. Kung meron man, hindi po siya. So please, naaawa na rin po ako sa kanya,” she said, admitting that the allegations towards Raval make her “emotional.”
“As someone with struggles sa mental health, ang hirap po na gumigising ka sa umaga tapos puro hate ‘yung makikita mo. Please guys, woman to woman na, hindi ako okay, it makes me emotional too, tigilan na po natin. Please,” she further added.
(AJ is not the reason for my breakup with Aljur, and that’s the truth. She’s not the reason. If ever there’s a cause, it’s not her. So please, I feel sorry for her already. As someone who struggles with my mental health, it’s hard to wake up in the morning wherein you see nothing but hate. Please guys, woman to woman, I’m not okay with this. It makes me emotional too. Stop this. Please.)
The “Mga Lihim ni Urduja” star also clarified that she and Raval are “really okay.”
“Kasi it’s not fair to [AJ Raval]. Naiiyak ako. Hindi po talaga. Tama na, tama na. Hindi po talaga siya. I mean, si AJ Raval, she’s not lying. We’re really okay. Kaya tigilan niyo na po, please. Tama na guys kasi hindi talaga siya. Hindi siya and hindi ko ever sasabihin kung sino kasi ayoko na ng ganyan. Ano na lang guys, kindness and love. We need more energy na ganoon,” she said.
(Because it’s not fair to AJ Raval. I want to cry. It’s not really true. Please stop, stop. AJ Raval is not lying, she’s not the cause of our breakup. We’re really okay. Please stop these accusations because it’s not really her. And I will never say who was the cause since I don’t want to deal with this anymore. Just kindness and love, guys. We need more of that type of energy.)
The Kapuso star reiterated that she’s happy for Raval and Abrenica, who made their relationship public on Valentine’s Day, as she stressed that her children matter the most during this time.
“Kung saan po siya masaya at kung sino po ang magpapasaya sa kanila, I want them to take care of it and be happy. Kasi siya po ang kahati ko sa mga anak ko eh. Dapat masaya rin ‘yung tatay nila para buo ang mga anak ko. Masaya na rin naman ako and ang ganda po ng mga nangyayari sa akin,” she said.
(I want them to take care of whatever makes them happy. Because they will be taking care of my kids as well. Their father should also be happy for my kids to feel whole. I’m happy as well since there are a lot of good things happening around me.)
The “Adarna” star revealed that this would be the “last time” she would be talking about the issue, as she hinted that her annulment from Abrenica is currently ongoing.
“Kasi tapos na po eh. I mean, siyempre, hindi pa tapos ‘yung pag-aayos ng papeles [sa ngayon] but tapos na po talaga ‘yung everything else. Kung meron mang magtatanong ng ngayon, I will answer but this is the last time I’m going to talk about this kasi happy na po ako,” she added.
(Because it’s over. Of course, the papers are not yet done, but everything else is finished. If ever someone wants me to address the issue, this would be the last time I’m going to talk about this because I’m happy.)
The breakup of Padilla and Abrenica, who tied the knot in December 2018, was confirmed to the public in July 2021 by the actress’ father, Sen. Robinhood Padilla, although it was reported that they’ve called it quits around April 2021.
