Jung Ho-seok, also known as J-Hope of K-pop global sensation BTS, is set to fulfill his mandatory military service after submitting a notice to cancel his enlistment postponement.
J-Hope’s label Big Hit Music confirmed on Sunday, Feb. 26 that he applied “for the termination of his enlistment postponement” on the fan platform Weverse.
“We would like to inform our fans that J-hope has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his enlistment postponement,” their statement read.
Although J-Hope’s military enlistment date is yet to be announced, the music label noted that fans will be informed of “further updates” in the future.

“We ask you for your continued love and support for J-hope until he completes his military service and safely returns. Our company will spare no effort in providing support for our artist,” they added.
Earlier this month, the K-pop idol was recently named as the house ambassador of a French luxury brand. He also starred in his solo docu-series “J-hope in the Box” which revolves around the production of his debut studio album “Jack in the Box” and behind-the-scenes glimpses of his “Lollapalooza” appearance in Chicago, U.S.
